Bay Area Renaissance Festival

King Henry and Queen Katherine Parr invite one and all to their 16th Century European village featuring stages with live entertainment. Over 100 artisans fill the Festival marketplace to display and sell their handcrafted wares for a truly unique shopping experience.

Patrons can interact with hundreds of memorable characters roaming the village streets , as well as view, live armored jousting throughout the day. Come celebrate our newest season by visiting the Festival grounds this year. Huzzah!

Daytona Speedweek

Daytona International Speedway hosts the start of the Nascar season culminating in the Daytona 500. “The Great American Race” on Feb 17th, 2019 celebrating 61 years.

142nd Silver Spurs Rodeo

Florida has a rich history of rodeo and it was once a way of life for Osceola ranchers. Today, the largest rodeo event east of the Mississippi can be found right in Kissimmee.

The famous Silver Spurs Rodeo consists of PRCA professionals competing in all seven rodeo events for prize money totaling $100,000.

 

It’s a fun event for all the family. There will be Bareback Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping and Muttin Bustin for the little cowboys.

There’ll also be interval shows from the resident rodeo clown and kids aged 6-10 can join in with the Calf Scramble.

Admission is $20, children under 10 free. It’s the same price for pre-purchase or at the gate, but check out Groupon for ticket deals.

Stabbing Westward at The House of Blues

Rising from the industrial mecca of Chicago in the early 90s, Stabbing Westward has become one of the most successful industrial-rock bands of all time. Stabbing Westward is no stranger to Alternative and Rock radio. Since their first album Ungod was released in 1994, Stabbing Westward has produced several hit singles including “Save Yourself”, What Do I Have To Do”, “Shame” and “So Far Away”. 

After breaking through with their sophomore album, the gold-certified Wither, Blister, Burn + Peel, the band crafted the very ambitious follow-up Darkest Days. The album featured 16 songs touching on the full spectrum of emotions surrounding the loss of a relationship. 

As Darkest Days turns 20 this year, Stabbing Westward will hit the road this fall to pay homage to their third album with a whole new production.

Grills Gone Wild

Yet another BBQ festival sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association. Head over to Davenport for a 2 days BBQ fest. There will also be a Sauce & Desserts competition open to the public.

Friday hours are from 5pm to 9pm, Saturday hours are 10am to 5pm.

9th Annual Orlando Chili Cook-Off

More foodie fun for Orlando in February! If you are a lover of chili, you’ll love this! From noon until 6pm, there will be over 100 sample chili booths to caress your palate. Live music, kids’ entertainment and beverages that mix perfectly with chili should bring a smile to tingly lip mouths.

The cost of admission varies from as little as $10 for early admission to $35 for VIP tickets. Proceeds benefit the Camaraderie Foundation to assist veterans and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to cure childhood cancer.

Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest 

Royal Palm Pointe Park at Vero Beach comes alive with the “Best Vero Beach Wings” competition.
