March springs into action with so many fun options this weekend! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Central Florida, so I hope you can go out and enjoy it! There’s certainly something for all walks of life! From the PGA Golf Tour in Orlando to Biker’s Week in Daytona. From the Central Florida Fair to The Strawberry Festival in Plant City. From Walt Disney World’s International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot to Bok Tower Gardens Spring Bloom Festival in Lake Wales.

Florida Strawberry Festival
Not only does the Florida Strawberry Festival celebrate anything and everything strawberries, the concert line up includes some of the best Country acts of all times.
Brad Paisley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Big and Rich, Reba McEntire, Josh Turner, Engelbert Humperdinck, Trace Adkins and Earth, Wind and Fire are just a few headline artists that will keep you dancing and singing all afternoon and into the evening.

Top up on sweet treats and strawberry shortcake, enjoy free and premium entertainment, find unique crafts at the Neighborhood Village, hop on over 80 rides at the fairground and enter fun contests.
The whole event is very family friendly and there’s something for all ages.

Central Florida Fair
Orlando in March brings one of the States’ favorite fairs. Founded way back in 1910, the Central Florida Fair is so popular it attracts an average of 250,000 visitors each year. There’s a ton of entertainment for all ages.
It’s no surprise that this fair is one of the top 5 in Florida. Its’ aim is to celebrate the agriculture, education, history and cultural legacy of the Central Florida states.
- Watch creative arts such as food, baked or canned, decorated cakes and informative, fun demonstrations by top chefs in the stage kitchen.
- Flowers, gardening, water conservation, landscaping, animals, veterinary hints and tips are all part of shared educational expertise.
- Livestock on display amount to more than 2,000 animals
- 100 groups provide music and dancing on 3 separate stages.
Admission tickets start at $7 for a child and $12 for an adult.

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Orlando in March is the time of year when Epcot at Walt Disney World bursts into a whole new colorful world. Floating gardens, incredible topiaries, horticultural displays and demos, taste bud temptations and live music. The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival is pretty awesome! It runs from March 6th to June 3, 2019.

Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando
Orlando in March is party month at Universal, Florida’s biggest party, MARDI GRAS!! The party of all parties continues at Universal Mardi Gras through April 4th, 2019. There are 4 million beads thrown from 12 colorful parade floats accompanied by 85 street performers. There is live music every night and a tempting array of delicious Cajun food.
Universal Mardi Gras is very family friendly and there’s even a special viewing area where the kids can watch the parade.
There’s a concert each weekend too. All included in the Universal ticket price.

SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival
The SeaWorld Seven Seas Festival is on weekend from February 9th to May 5th.
Take your taste buds on a culinary world tour. Food booths will be offering Asian, Latin, European, Polynesian and North Atlantic dishes as well as craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails.
There’s live entertainment every weekend with music from country, pop, rock, and Latin artists at Bayside Stadium.
So what’s the cost for the Festival? Zero extra. The event is included in the regular SeaWorld admittance ticket.

Pig on The Pond
Is delicious Bar-B-Q food your craving? Do you find it impossible to refuse another mouthwatering rib? Love hearing great live music? Thrilled at the sight of exploding fireworks? Is your chili better than anything anyone else can cook?
If the answer is “Yes”, then Pig on the Pond is a must for you and your family. And do check all the other BBQ Festivals happening around Central Florida.
It has everything, Chili Cook-Off, Carnival Rides, Racing Pigs, Wakeboard Competition, Paddleboard Demonstrations, Clermont Fire Department Burn Demonstration. And of course, delicious BBQ that will have you drooling.

Spring Bloom Festival at Bok Tower Gardens
Ring in the spring blooming season with a visit to Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales. Their annual Spring Bloom Festival is dedicated to highlighting the cultural and horticultural arts. Spring Bloom Festival celebrates Mother Nature with a full calendar of events and beautiful floral displays in each room of Pinewood Estate.
During Spring Bloom Festival, visitors can observe more than 150 varieties of camellias and hundreds of azaleas along with nun’s orchids, irises, coral bean, Mexican flame vine, and other flowering plants as they create an explosion of color throughout the Gardens. Guests are encouraged to return throughout the bloom season to experience Mother Nature’s ever-changing palette of colors— and to take plenty of pictures.
Take a spring bloom tour as volunteer garden guides lead visitors on a walking tour, sharing information about the flora and fauna, with tours leading from the Visitor Center to the Singing Tower. Check Bok Tower’s website for tour times.
Pinewood Estate will blossom with specially designed floral displays located throughout the 20-room, Mediterranean-style 1930s winter retreat. The estate is open for historical tours daily for an additional fee. Mondays – Fridays at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m., January 4 – April 14.

Firestone Grand Prix – St Petersburg
It’s all very well watching cars roar around a circuit on TV. But for an experience to blow your mind, you have to be there. And what could possibly be better than watching the cars scream past you from yards away? Along the streets and round the tight bends of the City of St. Petersburg. The noise from the vehicles is wave after wave of crescendo and the smell from the fumes and tires adds to the heightening excitement. If you’ve never done it, give it a try.
Admission prices start at $50 – $75 per day for youngsters under 12 years of age and $75 – $100 for adults.

Daytona Bike Week
If this event is good enough to encourage half a million bikers to visit, then you know it is in a class of its’ own. It’s the biggest motorcycle gathering on the globe and is celebrating its’ 78th birthday.
Daytona Beach is a city on Florida’s Atlantic coast. It’s known for Daytona International Speedway, which hosts February’s iconic Daytona 500 NASCAR race. The beach has hard-packed sand where driving is permitted in designated areas. Near the boardwalk’s rides and arcades, Daytona Beach Bandshell stages free summer concerts. Steps from the beach, Daytona Lagoon water park offers go-karts, laser tag, and waterslides.

Taste of Oviedo
This is more than a taste, it’s a three-course meal with all the trimmings. The Citrus and Celery Cook-Off takes pride of place but is more than ably supported by a singing contest, the Kids Stage delivering entertaining acts all day along with other live groups and solo singers. School of Rock, a rock climbing wall, a ton of local goodies to nibble on, a car show and fireworks make it a 10am – 6pm show to remember.
